We have been informed that a resident in our community building has tested positive for COVID-19. Our thoughts are with this person and their family at this difficult time, and we wish them a swift recovery. We want you to know that we are taking the best preventative measures we can to avoid the spread of the virus.
Please know that we have done the following:
Confirmed that this individual is taking the recommended precautions to avoid spread, including self-quarantine
Ensured that any commonly used area that is still open has been cleaned according to CDC guidelines
As ordered by the City of LA, our parks and fitness areas have been closed along with benches and tables. Please respect these spaces as they are closed for the safety of all our residents.
These measures are in addition to prior measures we have taken, such as closing recreational common areas and our leasing office, servicing emergency maintenance requests only, and conducting daily cleaning of all commonly used areas that are still open.
We recommend that all residents take precautions as recommended by the local health authorities and the CDC to help ensure your own personal health and safety. We will continue to actively monitor the situation and updates from the health authorities and will follow their guidance.
Our companies are NOT permitted by law to disclose the names or personal information of those persons who have been confirmed to have contracted COVID-19. As such, we ask that you do not request such information from us.
As a reminder, below please find recommendations to help prevent the spread of Coronavirus and other infectious diseases as recommended by healthcare professionals:
Refrain from shaking hands
Wash your hands often with soap and water, for at least 20 seconds
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
Avoid close contact with people who are sick
Stay home when you are sick
Cover your cough or sneeze, then immediately discard any tissues
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
Wear a face covering / Wash face coverings daily
If you are asked by a health care professional to self-quarantine or are diagnosed with COVID-19, please notify our office as soon as possible. We will be supportive in this situation though ask that residents who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 prevent any interaction with other residents or staff, and not seek any maintenance during this period unless absolutely necessary.
